Cottondale FFA Advances to State Competition in Five Events

The Cottondale FFA hosted the District II FFA contest at the Cottondale First Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 26, 2022. Over 85 members and guests were present. All the Cottondale FFA members who competed won their contest or contests.

· Robby Griffin placed first in Creed Speaking

· Leah Whitehead Placed first in Prepared Public Speaking.

· Josh Scurlock placed first in Extemporaneous Public Speaking.

· The High School Parliamentary Procedure team placed first. Team members are Rayleigh Carter, Jeremy Scurlock, Emilia Boggs, Kaitlyn Henderson, Robby Griffin, and Madison Capps.

· The Middle School Parliamentary Procedure Team also placed first. Team members are Caden Ammons, Xavien Thome, Kassie Land, Alicia Johnson, Millie Chambliss, and Joseph Baxley.

Several Cottondale FFA members assisted with the contest by serving as courtesy corps members for the day. Courtesy corps members included Emma Elie, Charlize Reyes, Hunter Hastey, Rebecca Barnes, Cody Bowen, Jacob Garling, Wesley Dickens, Farynn McAlpin, and from the Marianna FFA, Emma Whitehead.
