Cottondale FFA Kicks off 2019 With Competition Success
The Cottondale FFA kicked off 2019 with success at the Florida FFA District II Competition. The competition was also hosted by the Cottondale FFA at the Cottondale First Baptist and First Assembly of God churches. The middle school parliamentary procedure team placed first, team members are Jeremy Scurlock, Rayleigh Carter, Devin Tharp, R.J. McKay, Maggie Hamilton, and Leah Whitehead. The alternative is Angelina Labay. The high school parliamentary procedure team also placed first, team members are Taylor Dumas, Josh Scurlock, Joey Jackson, Carl Young, Addison Griffin, and Blayton See. The alternative is Hanna McClain. Rayleigh Carter placed third in the middle school public speaking competition, and Blayton See placed second in the high school extemporaneous public speaking competition. Both parliamentary procedure teams will be competing at the state competition this June.
