Cottondale FFA Awarded at National FFA Convention

The National FFA convention was held from October 23-27 in Indianapolis Indiana. Chapter members Josh Scurlock, Blayton See, Carl Young, and Jeremy Scurlock attended. Before arriving in Indianapolis, they spent night in Bowling Green Kentucky and the following day they visited the National Corvette Museum and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. While at the convention they were able to see many of the exhibits in the National FFA Expo that ranged from animal products, machinery, and the latest technological advancements in the agricultural industry. On Wednesday the high school chapter was recognized as a 3-star chapter which is the highest rating given to an FFA chapter on stage at the convention in front of 30,000 people plus a national audience watching from home on RFD-TV. That following evening they were then treated to banquet where the middle school was recognized as a 2-star chapter. It was an overall great week for the members and the memories made will last a lifetime.
