Tuesday, October 2nd, the Cottondale High School and Middle School FFA Officer Teams attended the Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference. COLT was held at Rivertown Community Church in Marianna. This conference allows officer teams to identify their strengths and weaknesses as a group and learn communication strategies and presentation techniques. Students experienced workshops on change in their chapter, setting a good example in and out of the FFA Jacket, professionalism on social media, and building a ‘foundation’ for success. The officers of the Cottondale FFA Chapter practiced leadership skills that they will bring home to their chapter to help it grow. On behalf of Cottondale FFA, thank you to the Florida FFA Association, Area I Advisors, and Florida FFA State Officer Team.
