Cottondale FFA Volunteers at Tiny Tot Olympics

Cottondale FFA

The Cottondale Chapter participates in the early childhood “Tiny Tots Olympics” every spring. Students, parents, alumni members and teachers work together to make this event a success. The early childhood asked for our assistance with security, assistance with the early childhood teachers, refreshment stations and of course the Olympic events. Adults parents and students were divided up in groups to attend to certain stations. Several of the volunteers are kin to the kids involved in the Olympics. Families were assisting each other in accomplishing these tasks. We had brother, sisters and cousins working as cohesive groups making the Olympics flow like well-oiled machines. The volunteers were inspired by the energy of the young Olympians and the excitement from their success. They had the opportunity to assist those who needed help and depended on them for guidance. At the end of the events the staff of the center were so appreciative and talked about how the event goes when we volunteer our time.

The help we provide made this event possible. With our help, they could ask parents to attend and watch their young ones compete because of the structure provided. So students, parents and the surrounding community benefited from our help in them being able to have another successful event.
