Cottondale FFA Shines at District OH Competition
Monday, March 12, 2018, Cottondale Middle and High School FFA members competed in the District Ornamental Horticulture Demonstrations Career Development Event in Panama City.
Josh Scurlock competed in the Middle School Production Division and placed first with his presentation on raised bed gardening. Scurlock will be competing at state in Gainesville.
For the high school, Angelina Trino competed in the Artistic Design Division and received second place with her demonstration on succulent plants. Kayley Turner and Sommer Gurganus placed second in the Landscape and Design Division with their presentation on pollinator gardens. Lastly, Tyler Sallas and Kasey Lathan received second in the Consumer Use Division with their demonstration on canning vegetables.
