Cottondale FFA Week a Major Success

During the week of February 17 – 24, the Cottondale FFA Chapter scheduled several events throughout the week to celebrate National FFA Week along with other chapters across the nation. These events were solely to promote Agriculture Education and the FFA in the community. On Tuesday, members from the chapter judged livestock at the Fed Cattle Show. The Cottondale High team placed third in the event. Wednesday morning, the chapter hosted a teacher breakfast for the Cottondale High School faculty and staff. The members served breakfast casseroles, pancakes, sausage, milk, and juice. On Friday, members from the middle school & high school chapter assisted with dinner at the Panama City Rescue Mission. They visited with the people at the rescue mission, served a meal, and organized the food pantry. The Cottondale FFA Chapter also had the opportunity to clean up the Cottondale First Baptist property on Saturday. To end FFA Week, the Cottondale FFA Middle School and High School members attended church with their FFA advisor, Mr. Scurlock, at Cottondale First Baptist Church. Overall, FFA Week was a huge success for the Cottondale FFA Chapter.
